It’s not me, it’s you

Is it time for a change? Maybe, but it won’t happen unless you make it.

Is it time for a change? Maybe, but it won’t happen unless you make it.

Channel Void asked me to write another article for them, this one’s about when to quit the career that’s killing your slowly.

Have a read on their site and explore some ideas on what to do when you’re dreading going into work. Part life audit, part sleuthing to find the true source of your stress, I hope it helps you make sense of a noisy head and better handle your stress, especially if it’s work stress. Here’s a snippet.

“So, work’s been grinding you down lately. You’re dreading going and you’re not sure if it’s a passing squall or you’ve ended up in a career that’s quietly destroying your soul. Time for an existential crisis. Again. Shit.

Work stress is like the glitter of stress – it gets on everything and pops up in the most unexpected places – relationships, conversations about completely unrelated things, daydreams, workplace interactions, and in your sleep, of course. Stress glitter dreams turn to waking nightmares. So how do you know if you need a reality check, a new job or a career change? Tough question but the right one to ask.“

Read the full article here and share it with anyone you think might enjoy reading it, especially young people.

Lifted from their about page, “Channel Void exists to challenge the abrasion of life as a thinking, feeling, sensual entity, by providing a universe of education, tools, art and entertainment, accessible to every level of awareness. We believe that being a young person in 2020 has left a void in heart, mind, body and soul. The nature of many lives today, lacking in ritual, intergenerational mentorship, storytelling and connection to earth, has bred disconnection and dissociation from self and others.”
